Indoor Chime Stopped Working

Yegger

Wired 2nd Gen Nest doorbell has been working fine for over a year and suddenly stopped ringing inside. Checked chime connections, all fine. Checked settings for electronic chime and length of chime, both good. Transformer is fine. Any ideas of what to try next?

Hi @Yegger!

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Doorbell has stopped ringing inside your home. I appreciate your efforts in taking those steps before. I'm happy to help you!

To help me find the best solution, I'll need to ask you a few questions:

  1. Which Nest Doorbell model do you have?
  2. When someone rings your Nest Doorbell, can you see live video from your Nest Doorbell?
  3. How is the temperature where your Nest Doorbell is installed? The doorbell chime doesn't ring if the weather outside is extremely cold because the internal battery gets too cold.
  4. Is the Ring indoor chime enabled, with Quiet Time disabled? To verify this you can follow the instructions below:
  • In the Google Home app, tap Favorites or Devices.
  • Tap and hold your device's tile, then choose More.
  • Select Settings and then Doorbell.
  • Verify that the Ring indoor chime is set to On.
  • Tap More, then Quiet Time, and finally tap Cancel if it's active.

Please keep me posted. I'll be waiting for your response.

Best regards,
Geremi
