Indoor Nest Cam Battery Won't record 24/7

This is the 3rd Indoor Nest Cam Battery I am adding to the house.  The other two are working great.  But this one will only record events.  It won't record 24/7.  I have the Nest Aware Plus subscription.  Seems so odd that only this one won't do 24/7.  

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is your nest cam wired ?  If not , 24/7 won't work .

.*The Nest Cam (battery) must be connected to a power source to have 24/7 video history. If your camera is battery powered, it'll only have event video history, even if you have a Nest Aware Plus subscription. 24/7 video history isn't available for the Nest Doorbell (battery), even with optional wired installation.

Is it in the same home under the home app as the other cameras ?  Can you see it on home.google.com ? 

Yes same home and same app. I can see it with the other cams. Thx.

Try what empty nester suggested, swap the power cable with one of the other cams.. if it starts working , you found the issue.  If it does not start working, I would suggest a factory reset and start over with that one camera.  After that, would probably get an exchange going if within warranty as it could be faulty.

It almost  sounds like the USB adapter you are using is not supplying enough power.   Can you try swapping the power adapters with one of the working cameras and see if that fixes the issue?

hmmm. Interesting. It’s the google cam cord I’m using with the cam stand. Thx.

Hmmmm, it is probably time for you to open an official support ticket and speak with a Google Tech person.

Here is the link to get you started.   I suggest setting aside about an hour as the they will want to put you thru all the normal simple trouble shooting steps.   Don''t be afraid after 15 minutes to ask to be escalated to Level 2 support.

If they get you going please return here and let us know what the problem was.  I'm really scratching my head on this one.

So get this....it's working on the pc....all 3 cameras recording 24/7.  But on the Iphone, it still doesn't record. (only 2 out of 3 will record 24/7).  And on the Samsung Galaxy, none of the three will record 24/7.  Unbelievable.  lol

Wow,,,, that is very odd.  

Originally you said it was working okay on the phone for 2 of the 3 cameras.  Has that changed now?

If you are able to see 24/7 footage on the PC then it is definitely pushing all the recordings to the Google cloud property.   When you look at the footage either on the PC or the Phone it is just playing back from the cloud.  It isn't actually storing footage on the pc or the phone.

As a test can you try another phone and see if it works?  Just download the app and long in with your correct login and password.  This will help isolate it to being a problem with your specific phone or not.

Correct...it works on the Iphone for 2 of the 3 cameras.  Today I notice that 0 of 3 work on the Samsung Phone (I use two mobiles), and that all 3 work perfectly on the PC.   I have the Google Home app on both phones and that's where I'm trying to see the cams.  Crazy.
