Indoor camera sensing motion when nothing is there

Several times a day I will get a motion alert from one of my cameras.  There is never anything there.  The sequence is always the same - the image goes black, I can hear a clicking sound and then the image comes back.  The cameras are located in an unoccupied house and this usually happens at night.  Any ideas?

As a point of reference, I sometimes get "people" alerts from my indoor cameras from reflections in windows (it's that sensitive), so I would double check if your windows are getting weird reflections from things happening outside. Could be: headlight reflections from cars, trees moving, etc.
