Indoor wired 2nd generation won’t connect

Hi, I have 2 outdoor wired Nestcam cameras for almost 2 years and they work perfect. I pay Nest to record everything and again they are perfect.

I recently bought 2 indoor wired 2nd generation cameras and no matter what I try I cannot get them to connect to my existing system.

I follow all the instructions to the letter, but when the Nest system tries to find them they are not connecting.

I’ve rebooted my internet.

I’ve tried to connect them via iPhone and 2 separate iPads, but nothing.

Have you tried to have them connect to the Google Home app? The second generation cameras won't connect to the Nest app.

@DL5054

Google Nest decided that its new cameras and doorbells released starting in Sept. 2021 would work ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website. As we discovered to our surprise when we bought a battery camera 16 months ago, we now have to use 2 apps.

However, ALL cameras in the same Google Nest "home/structure" are covered by the same Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription. And you can see live feeds (but no history) for ALL cameras on the beta/preview website, home.google.com.  And you can see all cameras in the Google Home app, even though the older ones are still managed in the Google Nest app.
