I'm trying to figure out what exactly I need to buy in order to have my cameras record CVR. We have no power outside, so I was going to get the battery. It seems that will not work with CVR on everything I'm reading.
Can I buy the battery and purchase the option cord to have it go through the window (hoping it's thin enough for it to still close?) I did this with my previous arlo but the cord was ribbon thin.
Or, if I buy wired, same question. Is the cord long enough to fit through window.
I need the doorbell and one outdoor cam. I'm really confused by all the different issues I'm reading.
Thanks!

The Google Nest Camera (Battery) can record 24/7 with a Nest Aware Plus subscription; we've had one since Sept. 2021 with the optional power cable plugged into an outdoor outlet. The power cable is about the diameter of a pencil, but I wouldn't want to close a window on it. When battery powered it can only record detected events with a Nest Aware subscription (though you can get events for the most recent 3 hours free). (Google Nest has not been selling an OUTDOOR wired camera for the last year; that's why we have the battery camera with a power cable.)
The Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) CANNOT record 24/7 even if it is wired to your doorbell transformer because the doorbell always runs on battery power. If it is wired, then the battery is trickle charged. If you are in a cold weather climate, there are serious issues: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/11830989?hl=en.
As a result, we instead have a Google Nest Hello Doorbell that is powered with an OhmKat power adapter/transformer designed specifically for the Nest Hello that is plugged into an indoor outlet near the door, with the power cord fed through a hole I drilled in the door frame.
