Is the Nest hello doorbell the exact same thing as the Nest doorbell?

So confused-is the nest hello doorbell the same thing as the nest doorbell?  There seems to be a price difference.  Are both the same product # NC5100US?

The names are confusing. The Nest Hello Doorbell was renamed the Google Nest Hello Doorbell, and then renamed "Google - Nest Doorbell (Wired)", sometimes called the Google Nest wired doorbell (model # NC5100US, according to Best Buy's website). Then they introduced the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery), sometimes called the Google Nest battery doorbell, which can run in battery mode only or can be wired (but is still actually running off the battery) (model # GA02076-US, according to Best Buy).

We have Google Nest Hello Doorbells.  The Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) can't stay charged in a Minnesota winter and can't record 24/7.

I guess I’m still confused-is the Google Nest Hello the same product as the Google Nest Doorbell  (wired) It seems the Google Nest Hello is cheaper than the Google Nest Doorbell  (wired). Does the”Hello” version have different specs? Is it an older model, with older technology?

I suppose there may be technical differences between different specific models from year to year, but I think the "Google Nest Hello" and the "Google Nest Doorbell (wired)" refer to the same doorbell. (Google Nest's inconsistent use of names doesn't help.) The photo on the Best Buy shows the "Nest" logo imprinted, but I suspect the ones they're actually selling are imprinted with the "G" logo like our latest Nest Hello, purchased in January.

Best Buy happens to have it priced at $149.99 instead of $229.99 right now. I don't know why. Perhaps they're privy to information about the long-promised new Google Nest wired doorbell coming to market soon; I have no idea.

Mpls is correct.    The original Google Nest HELLO was renamed Google Nest WIRED.

One more thing.  I encourage you to NOT get the newer BATTERY version as there are a number of drawbacks, one of which is in only works with he Google Home app (at this time).  The Google WIRED in my opinion is a far better and works with the NEST app and has product with many advantages.   Also, if you have Nest Aware plus the older WIRED doorbell still records 24/7.  Where as 24/7 recording is not available for the newer BATTERY even if it is connected WIRED.

Hope this helps in your decision.
