The outer lens fell off my Nest Cam Outdoor. I contacted Google support and learned that the warranty expired a few years ago and that they could not do anything—so aggravating. What’s more frustrating is that they do not offer any replacement parts. If the outer lens is missing, I’m concerned about water getting into the camera and other issues with image quality, as I believe the lens offers some filtering also.
It seems that this is a common occurrence. Besides purchasing a new camera (which seems very wasteful), what else can be done?

For many years people have been complaining that Google will not sell replacement parts. It is VERY aggravating and creates such bad will towards the customers. I don't get it. I don't think there is anything else you can do unless you come up with some clever solution. Or buy a USED one from ebay and move on. I have done that a few times for other nest cams that have broken over the year.
