I Just purchased a Google Doorbell (Battery) and a Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen). I have attempted to connect the two so the hub will chime when the doorbell is pressed however the app says it can not ring through indoor chime while on battery power. Is this the case or is there something I’m not doing? Thanks

The message in the app is poorly worded. It's supposed to indicate that, if the battery doorbell is NOT wired (and therefore NOT connected to an indoor doorbell chime), then the indoor doorbell chime cannot ring and that option is therefore disabled and grayed out.
To get notifications on your Nest Hub, you need to enable the "Visitor announcements" option on your doorbell in the Google Home app (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7672451).
