Live view recording

While viewing the live feed from a nest battery powered doorbell is it possible to manually initiate a recording if something were to happen that I’d want record of? On the same note if I was on live view and someone entered the area that would normally trigger an event would the doorbell start to record or would the fact I was viewing on live interfere with that process?

Thanks for reaching out. Your Nest Doorbell (battery) comes with up to 3 hours of event video history or 30 days with Nest Aware. Your Nest Doorbell (battery) saves video when activity is detected even if you are watching the live feed. 

Unfortunately, 24/7 video recording and clips creation is only available in the Nest Doorbell (wired). You can check this article on What you get with a Nest Aware subscription to learn more.
