Locked out of newly purchased house

I just bought a house that has Nest locks.  The previous owner gave me the code to get in and it was great.  Then his wifi shut off before I transferred the system and I can't get in!  Any way to get the lock open without breaking it?

Oh no! We’re sorry to hear that. What’s the status light of your Nest x Yale Lock? Are the batteries fresh? Also, have you paired it yet to your Nest app?
 

Give these steps a try:

1. Press Yale or touch your palm to
   the keypad to wake it up.
2. Enter your 4 to 8 digit pass code and press the check to unlock.
