We have two outdoor iq cameras and getting a nest battery for over our garage. We have yet to migrate. I may just too nervous bout losing my saved videos and also billing.   Will my billing for the two existing cameras be

compromised?  Also , will my saved video still be there along with my zones?

I'm not sure it applies to your situation, but when I migrated my Nest app stayed essentially the same and I did not lose my billing or saved videos. That said, I migrated over a year ago at least. I have just now got a new Nest Battery for backyard and it has NO functionality in the Nest app, so Home app for everything. The history is weird for the old Nest Cams (doorbell and Nest Home are mine), but the history is still in the Home app going back 30 days.

Hi and thanks for the response.  I returned what I purchaed, not even opening it.  Honestly, sick and tired of dealing with Google.   I loved Nest products.... Google, not so much.  I ended up, after doing more research purchasing an Arlo Pro 4.  It has a website on the computer and an app too.... we will see.  Thanks.

Hello Sdebar,  Sadly, my suggestion is do NOT get the new nest cams.  You will be far better off to just buy a used (previous gen) camera from someone on Ebay.  The new nest cameras do NOT work with the NEST app.  You can only use them in the Google HOME app which lacks 90% of the features and refinments of the well designed NEST app. Also, the new cameras are not viewable in anyway on your computer's browser.     If you read thru all these threads on this website you will see the high level of frustration with the user base (including me).

As for migrating  you can do that if you want and I'm pretty sure you won't loose any video.  However when you migrate you can ONLY use a gmail email address.   I learned that the hard way.

Good luck with your decisions.

I just responded via email to the latest response. I just pcked up the camera from Best Buy. I will, however, be returning it.  I will buy the IQ from Amazon... I really wish Nest would take back over their cameras and Google can just make their own stuff... horrible.
