I have the nest aware plus subscription with my battery google nest cameras and doorbell.
I had an event happen at my house but the doorbell didn’t show event history for that part of the event. Is there a way to find out what happened and why it isnt showing a recording. I’m using the Google home app as the nest app won’t let me connect my cameras

If you have a Nest Aware Plus subscription, you should be able to click on the icon shown in the screen shot below (the video feed happened to blank out when I did the screen capture) in order to switch from event view to timeline view; you should then be able to play the video from before and after the event.

I just re-read your post. If you have a battery doorbell, you cannot get 24/7 recording even if the doorbell is wired"
"...24/7 video history is not available for the Nest Doorbell (battery), even with optional wired installation." https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9681538
The reason is that the battery doorbell ALWAYS runs off of battery power, and the wires only serve to trickle-charge the battery.
With our older Google Nest Hello Doorbells (wired) and the 2nd Gen Google Nest Doorbell (wired), the doorbells run directly off of the low-voltage current.
So, if your event wasn't "captured" by your doorbell's camera, you won't be able to access it.

You actually don't need a Nest Aware Subscription to get 'Event video history' for battery Cams and Doorbells, you get up to 3 hours worth included free. If you want more than that (up to 30 days) then you need Nest Aware:

It's probably no conciliation but I'm in the same boat as you, I've just bought a brand new set of the battery cams and I can't get any motion detection or events to record at all... unless I'm in the app and watching the live stream at the time the motion occurs, then for some reason it detects it and saves it to Event History fine.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for reaching out to our Community. I appreciate your reports here. Let’s check them out.
Follow the steps below:
Also, make sure the power, internet connection, and Wi-Fi are on. You may need to move the camera or change something in the camera’s view to improve motion detection results. You can check out the installation tips to get the most out of the camera.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks for the help, MplsCustomer.
Best,
