Motion at door announcement

TreyG

When I woke up this morning, I had a notification of a person by my door at 5.30 AM.  The person tried to enter my home,  It would be profoundly helpful if there was a way that the Google doorbell could have an option to announce to all devices (minis, displays, etc) that there is motion at the door.  My phone (iOS for now) is set to alert me but it is one alert and not enough to wake me up from sleep.  Thankfully he didn’t try to break down the door or a window, but this seems to be a critical safety flaw in Google’s product.

Hi TreyG,

Thanks for visiting the Community. I'm sorry to hear that and for the delayed response. I can confirm this feature isn’t available, we hear you — I'd suggest you send feedback about this using the Google Home app.

Here's how:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. At the top right, tap your account.
  3. Tap Feedback > tap the type of device you'd like to submit feedback for.
  4. To display available emails, in the "From:" section, tap the arrow on the right. Select your email address.
  5. In the feedback summary, write a brief description of your issue.
  6. Be sure to check the box for Screenshot and System logs.
  7. To submit feedback, at the top right corner, tap Send.

We'll consider this complete and I’ll be locking this thread after 24 hours.

Regards,

JT
