My doorbell is flaking

It has been just over a year and device is starting to flake and peel. This seems like a product defect which should have been caught. Device is barely out of warranty, so what can i do to get it replaced? I hear that its possible.

Hi @stsvilik

See this other thread with reply from Community Specialist Brad. https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Cameras-and-Doorbells/Nest-Doorbell-delaminating-peeling/m-p/...

Looks like if the device is out of warranty they will not help replace.

Two of our Nest Hello doorbells are flaking, so we purchased silicone skins on Amazon to cover the peeling shards, and are continuing to use them.

Hi there,

@MplsCustomer is correct, if you are unable to find a solution with support, you can purchase silicone sleeves to use over your device to further protect it if you wish. From what I have seen, there are several options for the sleeves.

Best regards,

Brad

I did not, since you mentioned that you will not replace out-of-warranty devices. I checked online, and I am out of warranty.

I did purchase a silicon sleeve but it doesn't cover the flaking around the edge of the device and on the glowing ring 😕

@stsvilik

Yeah, it's not the best solution.
