My doorbell won't mount to the bracket

Ugh, my replacement doorbell is not mounting and they say the replacement does not come with a warranty. Google's solution is to buy a new doorbell even though this one still works fine, just won't mount on it's bracket. Any suggestions on getting it to mount and work when the button on the back won't come out??
