My nest cam mounting plate is stuck in the magnetized base.

Hi - I bought a battery indoor/outdoor Nest cam, and the plastic wall plate was not packaged separately from the magnetized metal base, it's stuck in it. I can't mount the camera stand until I can get the pieces apart. Help?

With your help, I finally figured it out! I stuck a screwdriver in one of the holes, and gently pushed until the piece twisted away from the mount. Now it's ready to be screwed into someplace too high to reach. 🙂

We have one of these cameras.  You have to twist the two pieces to get them apart.  It has 3 little flanges that hold the two parts together.

This video, starting at 5:05, shows the two parts being twisted together; they click once they're twisted together: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGQUK81PMMo
