I just bought one and set it all up but no notifications.
A call back from GOOGLE and transpires

Not great and didnt see anywhere in the blurb that this is the case before I bought it.
So do I return it and buy another door-bell? or pay a subscription service?
Not great GOOGLE!!!!

That's not correct. You do not need a Nest Aware subscription to receive most of the push notification types.

Hello as yet I have not had any push notifications from the camera
What do you recommend? delete from home and start again?

Thanks for the reply. I would recommend to test on a different device to isolate. You can also check your phone settings and try to uninstall/reinstall the Google Home app.
