NEST DOORBELL PEELING or MELTING

MCLEM48

So my Nest Doorbell is recently out of warranty and now peeling. Very unsightly.   It’s as if the unit had a plastic sticker that I did not remove.  Customer service said they could not help me.  How is this possible?  It appears many have the same problem.  I LOVE the NEST platform but this is frustrating.

HI @MCLEM48

You are not alone. I've seen quite a few community members posting with the peeling Hello. If the doorbell is out of warranty it seems that Nest is not replacing them.

You did not forget to remove the plastic sticker.  There are literally 100's of people reporting this problem.   I first encounter it while my Nest Hello was still under warranty and they replaced it.  But that was almost 2 years.

Thank you.  As a Google enthusiast and shareholder this is pretty upsetting to me. Seems to be a known issue that would warrant an extended warranty or at least a reduced replacement cost program.  Gotta have a dream I suppose.
