Nest App and Home App

Hello I am having issues setting up my Nest Doorbell. When I go to the scan the QR code on the back of my doorbell it says I need to download the home app which I already have and I am signed into. It then brings me to google home screen and I start the process again which turns into an endless loop. Both apps and phone are updated and doorbell is fully charged.

Any help is greatly welcomed thank you.

Nest Doorbell (battery) is setup and managed exclusively in the Google Home app. Try these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app. If prompted, sign in with your Google Account.
  2. On the home screen, tap the + icon at the top left.
  3. Select Set up device.
  4. Choose the home you want to add your doorbell to, or select "add another home" to create a new one. Then, tap Next.
  5. The app will try to look for nearby devices. If prompted, make you to select Nest Doorbell (battery) as the device you want to set up.
  6. Use your phone's camera to scan the QR code on the back of the doorbell. You can also tap "continue without scanning" and enter the numbers near the QR code.
  7. The app will help walk you through setup and installation.
