Nest Cam Battery

My Nest Cam Battery will not recharge when plugged in. I believe it is an issue with the contacts on the charger cable or the camera itself.  Is this a known issue?

If you search this forum for "battery camera won't charge" you'll find postings from other customers on charging the battery camera.

We've had a Google Nest Camera (Battery) for a year now, plugged in all the time with the optional power cable, and it stays charged and "Live" at all times, year-round.

So, it seems that  either there are issues with the charge cord included with the camera, or some cameras are faulty and won't charge.
