Hi,
A few years ago I purchased and used a Nest Indoor Cam (1st Gen: Nest Cam A0005). We didn't use it for a while nor pay attention to it (I didn't subscribe for archived video, etc.). Is it bricked? I tried to set it up again with the Google home app for my iPhone (I likely had a pixel back in the day), but the app would not connect to it.
Is there any life to the cam? Can I repurpose it? Any hints or tricks to get some useful life out of it. I can connect it to my mac book pro, and see the filesystem... but I guess I'd like to set it up again and use it for local video around the house.
Thanks.

The 1st gen Google Nest Indoor Camera can only be installed in the Google Nest app, unless you had previously "transferred" it from the Google Nest app to the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Blog/Nest-Cam-Outdoor-1st-gen-expanded-support-rolling-out-in...).
If you had previously installed it in the Google Nest app (using a Pixel phone), it might still be in the Google Nest "home/structure" in the Google Nest app on your Nest Account, unless you had also previously migrated your Nest Account to a Google Account (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9297676), in which case it might still be in the Google Nest "home/structure" in the Google Nest app on your Google Account. If it is not, then any old Nest Aware subscription you had may have expired, and you should be able to reinstall it in the Google Nest app.

Sadly, I don't recall if I 'transferred' it from the Nest App to the Home App. I no longer have the pixel phone and/or the nest app. I do not know if I have a nest account either.
Sounds like it's a bricked pice of junk at this point.
