My Nest Cam (battery) was mounted outdoors, and came off the mount during a windstorm. I suppose it may have been struck by something that was blasted through by the wind -- I just don't know. When I investigated, I found the cam on the ground, missing the lower half of the front faceplate. This exposes what I suppose is the motion sensor and/or IR LEDs. The faceplate piece was nowhere to be found.
There's not really any apparent damage to the camera body except for a small scrape on the lower front edge, and the camera seems to function normally.
It seems likely that this has effectively eliminated the weather-resistance. Has anyone dealt with something like this? Any ideas what type of material might be used to fashion a replacement, while allowing the motion-sensor/LEDs, etc. to still function? Unfortunately, I don't have another cam to closely inspect the nature of the missing piece.
Generally, is it possible to acquire parts for this device? I haven't been able to find a source.

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. While the front face plate of your Nest Cam (battery) isn't sold separately, we'd like to check for other options. Could you fill out this form so we can check this with our team?
Let us know once you're done.
Cheers,
Steve
