Nest Cam help desk scam???

Have owned my Nest Cam for ~ 3 years now. No issues up until 3 weeks ago when the camera kept disconnecting and the video screen shows the blue spinning icon. I tried resetting it, unplugging the power and plugging back in, uninstalling and deleting the camera from the Nest App, and even resetting the wifi router. When I am going through the setup, it gets stuck on the "You should now see live video" part and the black screen keeps spinning.

I googled "Nest Cam setup not working" and went to this site: https://nestcam.support/nest-camera-setup-2/

I started chatting online with a help person and then they asked for my name and number to have a technician call me. Within 1 min, someone called me from (912) 394-5832 and asked me to check my settings, log into the Nest account on my computer, then asked me to go to join.zoho.com where I had to download a program, change some of my security and accessibility settings and then they passed me to another operator (Level 5 technician) where they ran a bunch of stuff on my Terminal and then asked for $79.99 USD to fix the problem. They claimed my wifi network was not secure and I need to pay the fee to have them fix the Nest Cam issue. I was very suspicious and disconnected my internet, shut my computer down and hung up the phone. Did they just take over my computer and steal information?

The support website you went to is not a product support website. You did in fact get scammed.
