Nest Cam with Floodlight motion sensing distance

Does the 2021 Nest Cam with floodlight use two different motion sensors?  The floodlight spec says up to 25' for the motion sensing range, but if the camera operates independently then it would not sense motion until about 10'.  I have a couple Nest indoor/outdoor (battery) cams, and would also like to use the Nest Cam with Floodlight above my second floor.  I'm concerned that mounting the camera 20' high will make it virtually useless since the motion detection would never reach the intended ground movements (unless it was directly under the cam/floodlight.

If someone has any insight on the sensing distance limitations of the Nest cams, please let me know.  It appears that "notifications" and "events" are only based on IR motion sensing, rather than visual movement through the camera.  I realize that the only way to have the cam video active 24/7 is with hardwiring and a Nest Aware Plus subscription, but I still don't know if there is an option to then have the visual movement trigger a recorded event or notification (or if the trigger is only based on the short motion sensing IR distance).

Yes, I'm still wondering if there is any insight from Google or a user as to the sensing distance limitations of the Nest cams.  It appears that "notifications" and "events" are only based on IR motion sensing, rather than visual movement through the camera.

Thanks!

@Wisco1

Nest Cam with floodlight has a 2-megapixel color sensor. It also has passive infrared sensors (PIR) for motion and proximity and a built-in magnetometer sensor. The Nest Cam with floodlight’s camera has a single motion sensor, with 110° horizontal field of view. Motion can be detected from up to 25 ft (7.5 m) away. The floodlight has 2 motion sensors, with a 180° horizontal field of view and motion can be detected from up to 25 ft (7.5 m). I am not entirely sure if this information answers your question, but I thought it may help you out.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best regards,

Brad.
