Nest Camera Battery lasts less than a day

Battery has started draining with a day.

I've reset it a few times but for example yesterday after a full charge I put it up.  One thing detected which was me after the installation woke up this morning. Battery dead.

If I swap my other camera to same position it works fine.

The faulty camera has been in the same place for over a year.

Even though you are a month out of warranty maybe you can get Google to help you out.  I suggest opening a support ticket and speaking with an actual google tech person who might have the power to replace it for you.

Here is the link to open the ticket.  Once you answer the questions you will be given the opportunity to do a phone call with a person (better than chat in this case).

How much longer than a year has it been in place?   I believe the internal batteries last anywhere from 3-5 years.  But over time they just don't hold their charge.    And unfortunately they are not replaceable by us users.  Whey they would design it like that is beyond me.

Warranty ran out last month.

This is a not a gradual drop off. It's gone from lasting a month to lasting a day.

Only thing that's changed is I moved my wired Nest Doorbell to the home app on beta, and then moved it back to Nest.

Going to try moving it back to home. In case it's weirdly related.

Yeah I opened a support ticket first. After Google ignoring it for a few days I went with the chat option. Which is still open and unresponsed. I'll open another and try a phone call optipn
