Nest Camera and Doorbell setup

Y2Grae

I bought Wired Doorbell and the Nest Outdoor camera

Camera synced up with my Home app and is looking good - the Doorbell however ...

When I created my Nest account and linked to my home - the setup NC errors out NC0013 (wifi on bell not matching home)
If I create a new home in nest, then the doorbell will allow me to connect

If I want to take out a subscription - will it work on my camera (on main home app) and my doorbell (on nest 2nd home account)

any hints to sync them better?

You want to get both devices on the same "home" before you get a Nest Aware subscription because the subscription applies only to one "home".

The "NC013" error says "your camera couldn't connect to your other Nest product(s)" (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9240048?hl=en#camera_cant_connect&zippy=%2Cnc-errors).

That seems a lot like the couldn't find "assisting device" error that has plagued lots of other customers. (We've been lucky and haven't encountered it.) It seems the error occurs when Google Nest tries to obtain the SSID and password for your WiFi network from another Google Nest product.

I don't know the right solution. Customers have suggested a bunch, and some work for some people but not others. Google Nest Support says they are STILL researching the problem.

You can try checking this short thread:

Or you can check this very long thread with over 160 replies:

Or you can try contacting Google Nest Support. This has worked for some customers but not others.

I have solved this:

I removed both doorbell and camera.

then added doorbell first via next app

then I added the camera (which I had to bring inside to help pair)

now both cameras are on the same home
