Nest Door bell notification delays

I have a relatively new Nest Doorbell (wired). Notification delays are so bad that the talkback feature is useless. By the time I'm notified of a delivery, the carrier is already headed down the street in their van. I've tried restarting the device, disabling facial recognition, all in a bid to speed up notification. I have a 480mps connection, yet my notifications are delivered fifteen to thirty seconds after the device senses an event. Is anyone else experiencing this? Are there any suggestions to address this issue? Considering going to RING and selling this one on eBay!

@sefanzedee  If you Google the Nest Doorbell Wired notification delays, you'll see that it's been an ongoing issue for three years, not sure if it's been resolved. Please let me know if you find anything to prove it has. I'm contemplating returning the full Nest setup I purchased and buying the Ring bundle.

I just bought the full Nest home setup (Wired doorbell, hub, and two cameras). I've plugged in the camera and began testing notification times. I'm experiencing the same issue with the camera, and I haven't tried the doorbell yet. Notifications took 16 seconds for the Outdoor cam on battery. Once I plugged it into power (how I always intended to have it), increased the notifications types, and turned off the battery-saving features, the notification time improved, ~4 seconds. However, I've read about Google Nest having a cooldown period where it won't send any subsequent notifications after an initial notification for up to 30 mins. I tested and confirmed this cooldown time. I could not get a second notification for 30 minutes, although the events were being recorded in the event history. So I would be standing in front of the cam for over a minute without notification. Are you noticing the same with your wired doorbell? This would be a terrible feature as someone could take that package within 30 minutes of package delivery. I would not receive a notification.

I intended on paying the $16/month for 24/7 recording so I could always go back in time. However, the purpose of a smart doorbell is to notify you the moment someone approaches your door, so you can use the talkback or see who it is. Not 16 seconds later, when they've come and gone.

Clearly, this is a big fail for Google Nest.  Unless they get their act together, I believe they will lose a considerable market share to Amazon Ring products.  This issue has persisted since September of this year and to date, there's been no resolution, nor official acknowledgment of the problem. I sincerely hope they resolve this sooner than later.
