Has anyone found a way to exceed the 5-minute live feed duration for a Nest Doorbell Battery device?

For this specific device, we don't currently offer the option to exceed the 5-minute recording. This is because it's a battery-powered device, and continuous recording would drain the battery too quickly, significantly reducing your doorbell's performance. You can find a table outlining all the features and alerts by device on the Google Store.

I’m using the Nest Battery Doorbell connected to a wired transformer. Since it’s hardwired, battery life should not be a concern. For those of us with a continuous power source, it would be helpful if the doorbell operated in full wired mode-bypassing battery conservation features and offering continuous, uninterrupted performance similar to traditional wired doorbells.

Additionally, for users relying solely on battery power, it would be great if the app included an option to extend the 5-minute recording limit on the live feed, perhaps accompanied by a cautionary note regarding faster battery drain. My smartwatch, for example, offers an Always-On display option with a similar advisory, giving users control over power-versus-performance trade-offs.

I’d like to suggest incorporating these options in future updates to provide greater flexibility for both wired and battery-powered users.
