Nest Doorbell Dead at 2 Years

QualityCounts1
Community Member

Purchased the Nest Doorbell in October of 2019. Died in August 2022. I feel like I got royaly **bleep**ed on this deal. Less than three years of life for a $200 product? The doorbell never sees direct sunlight and is shielded from the elements. Replaced the doorbell transformer so let’s not even go there. I’ll never buy anything that’s manufactured/sold by Google again.

Yes, having a $200 doorbell fail in less than 3 years is not good.  You could contact Google Nest Support to see whether they'll replace your Nest Hello as defective if though it's past the warranty period:

Hi folks,

I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.

Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear that and for the delayed response. Were you able to reach out to our support team as shared by MplsCustomer? If so, how did it go?

Hello and thank you for taking an interest  in my case. I’ve already purchased a replacement doorbell camera made by another manufacturer. I needed a replacement asap and couldn’t afford to spend time petitioning the Google support team to replace the unit which had broken. Still extremely disappointed the Nest didn’t last longer then it did.

Hi QualityCounts1,

We're sad to see you go. We hope we can make it up to you in the future. We're always here to help if you ever change your mind.

Best regards,

JT
