Nest Doorbell Delamination/ Peeling

My Nest Door bell is peeling like crazy do to poor front laminate or clear coat used in MFG it looks like. Its out of warranty based on chat with Customer Service. I sent a hour with customer service in chat looking up the SN then approving remote access to account and taking a picture with the ticket number he provided. The very last thing he asked was for a receipt. Customer service agent said he can escalate the matter but I need to get him a receipt copy. I asked customer service agent to see if they can help me before jumping through hoops to get a copy of the receipt. His only answer was he needs the receipt to do anything after checking with someone. I tried to contact store were I purchased the unit and they only hold invoice data up to 1 yr on their active system. So I am unable to get a receipt copy. Is their a way to get the front replaced or order a replacement front with replacement instructions without purchasing a new nest door phone?. I feel this is a material used problem that should be recalled since it seems to be wide known issue.  I use to recommend nest doorbell product to other people but this experience with the product and customer service makes me rethink recommending it again. I just purchased 7 nest smoke detector the other day now thinking of returning them and going a different direction if I have to purchase a new nest doorbell replacement.

Was wondering if you received a reply yet from the case number they sent you?  They did the same for me, but never heard back. It’s been 3 weeks now.
