Brad, I do not understand why you have closed the thread. You keep asking if I need help with the issue - I do - but none is offered. I have explained the issue has been going on for at least two years - others have the problem also - and since nothing has been done it clearly has not gone away. Can we close the thread when the issue is resolved please?
I do not really understand the purpose of the forum. Is it to get problems fixed or just to air platitudes? Are software developers at Google who could fix the issue involved?

Thank you for your patience while waiting for a reply! I just wanted to apologize that we closed your thread sooner than you would have liked.
We as Community Specialists are primarily here to moderate these Community Forums. Part of that role requires us to close and lock threads if there is limited, to no activity. It is not required for the issue to be resolved for the thread to be closed. I understand that this process may be frustrating, but there are very little Community Specialists in these forums, so we have to be proactive in our moderator duties.

Are Google software developers involved? If not I do not see why the problem should ever get fixed and then to me the forum has absolutely no purpose. We are all wasting our time unless you can advise me of a purpose.
A final question is there anywhere effective for asking Google to fix a problem?

This is a Community Forums, so this is a place for anyone to post a concern, ask your fellow community members questions, and we are here to moderate these forums. I can't say how else Google uses these forums as I do not know, but any feedback provided here could be used by other Google departments if needs be. Support would be your best way of getting direct feedback if that is what you seek.
