My Nest Doorbell got transferd to the Home App. After that there were a lot of erros with notifications. So i had to remove the device from the Google home App to ad it again.

But it can't be added in the Google home App, because it's the first Generation. In the Nest App it still says this device ist transfered to Google home. Even after factory Reset it still couldnt not be added in the Nest App and Nest App links to Google home. In Google home it says device has to be added in the Nest App. Now im Stuck in this loop

Here the same issue I think. After a general power cut in our region, I had issues to reconnect my Google Nest Doorbell (wired, first generation) to my Wifi network. The Wifi network is fine, but I got no video signal any more from the camera. Finally, after doing several factory resets and re-installation procedures without success, I removed the doorbell in the my Nest app, and tried to add it again. But when performing the startup-procedure of the doorbell, I get stuck. In the last step of the procedure, I get the error message NC009 (15.5) 'Adding to Nest Account failed'.

Updated all apps without success.

Any ideas?

I'll maybe ignore the prompt if it appears on my app then 😬 hopefully you get this sorted

Judging from other posts, that can happen if you are no longer on the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app. If you are on the "Public Preview" version, you should be able to re-add your "transferred" doorbell in the Google Home app. (We're not using the "Public Preview" version.)

If it's not working, perhaps it's because they just recently made it possible to "transfer" Nest Hello doorbells to the Google Home app and there's a defect.

You could try contacting Support:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

Still on the Public Preview. They "forgot" to implement the function to add first gen devices via Home App. I contacted Support two days ago, waiting for answer atm

On the Public Preview as well and I received the notification to transfer the Nest Hello to the Google home app. After starting the transfer i haven’t had access to the camera, notifications or anything on neither the Nest app nor the home app. I tried a restart, updating wifi, etc. nothing seems to work.

I'm on the same boat as well. Transferred Nest Hello to Google Home as I got the pop up, as I was already on the Google Home preview app with all my Google devices.

After that succeeded, I wanted to change it to my new SSID as I had just changed my internet provider. Problem: in Google Home you can't change the SSID (yet), so I had to transfer it back to the Nest app as described. Now I'm stuck between the two apps: Google Home says this doorbell needs to be installed through the Nest app, but the Nest app says the doorbell was already transferred to Google Home app and can't be installed by the Nest app.

I tried everything, to no avail. This is already the 2nd Nest Hello I bought. The first one didn't connect anymore and Google Service Desk said it had been registered to another account before I bought it, so no help from them, no exchange under guarantee. It was a brand new device in a sealed box when I bought it. Google Service Desk just stopped replying to my emails.

I'm not happy with Google at all at the moment, but it is the only brand that is shown on my Google hubs.

Im stuck with Nest Hello (wired), after transfering from Nest to Hello, camera permanently offline with no option to remove device from HOME !

When I tried hard reset and started again via Nest info "this device is already transferred to Home, use Google Home to finish installation" - so now I have duplicated (same QR code) offline doorbells at the Home, permanently offline, which I can't remove, or transfer back to Nest, because they offline 🤦🏻

Amd I can't reinstall device via Nest, because was "already transferred" 🤦🏻🤦🏻

Contacted Nest support, three hours going circle, finally transferred to supervisor lady, which promised me to - personally - call me back within 48 with resolve advice.

Which should be Friday week ago, with no contact made...

Anyone have more luck, or found how to resolve this madness ?

Well, I could add my Nest Hello after having the same trouble as you (see my message above). But what fixed this for me was a hard reset, but while I pushed in the reset hole, at the same time press the doorbell for 3-5 seconds. It was not in the manual, but I read it online somewhere. For me that was the solution, it made my Nest Hello reset 100% and after that I could add it in Home again. It works like a charm now!

I did have contact with Google Support, but to no avail. They said only the US version of Nest Hello first generation was capable of being added through Google Home app. My version, bought in the Netherlands, is a US version they said so it should be found by Home app. The version for Europe (?) could not be added in Home, so they said.

I explained about the preview version of the Home app, and that all gen 1 Nest Hello should be able to be added as Google said it could be transferred to Home preview app. I even sent them the announcement, but no, that was not true for all first generation Nest Hello bla bla bla. Weeks went by, no solution.

And then you read online somewhere that for the Nest Hello to be totally reset, you have to press the doorbell while pushing the reset button.

Hope that helps all of you, it worked for me!

Thank you for your message, mate, but I did know about push doorbell together with keyhole, and on each occasions doorbell went trough process, then stuck on "you should see live video" step, when device is shown (twice now) at Google Home application.

Problem is that I can't remove these duplicates from Home, as there's no option to remove these devices - and I can't reset doorbell via Nest, because info "this device was transferred to Home..." message block last steps of installation.

I'm stuck with not working doorbell, which I can't remove or hard reset, because result in same device duplicate on Home, with no option to remove 🤦🏻

Worst of, gren light keeps slowly blinking (as for last step of installation " so everyone knows that doorbell isn't online, and do not record... madness.

I've contacted support and they were actually quite helpful. It needed to go up in the support tree a couple of times but in the end I got it working to add the doorbell to the home app again. Not sure what they did on their end but they requested me to sign out all users of the home app (I just asked all my fam members to remove the app entirely) and after that I was able to add the doorbell using the home app on my phone.

That sounds like a slightly different problem. I can only recommend contacting support.
