Nest Doorbell Light Cycles

J97
Community Member

Hey all,

I am trying to install my nest doorbell as a wired connection. I go though the steps on the home app and it all works til it says to mount it on the wall. Once I mount it and the steps are completed in the app, the light goes white, plays a chime then turns yellow and then the light turns off and the lights and sounds cycle though again. Anyone have any ideas?

@J97

If your status light flashes yellow 10 times, that means "Failed to connect". If it blinks yellow slowly, that means "Battery issue".

Perhaps there's an issue with your doorbell transformer, such that it's not receiving sufficient power. These are Google Nest's requirements:

Many of us have had to upgrade to a 16V 30VA transformer for either our older doorbells or the newer 2nd gen doorbells.
