Nest Doorbell - Missed Events

I purchased a Nest Doorbell via ADT for my front porch/yard and I am noticing that its missing events that should have been recorded.  For example, last week I was weeding in my front yard and the camera caught it.  The next recording is of me, about an hour later, retrieving a package off the front porch. No recordings in between, which means the camera totally missed Fedex delivering the package.  Same issue a few days later - a package mysteriously ends up on my porch, no recordings.  The Wifi is working properly, I have the zone setup properly, I have the notifications setup properly, the battery was at 70% - no discernable issues.  I trouble shot with ADT and they confirmed that is was setup and working properly.  Has anyone had similar issues?  ADT did ask if I had trouble shot with Google and I said no, because you sold me this doorbell, I pay you a lot each month for this doorbell and you partner with Google to provide these doorbells (don't get me started on ADT LOL).  My main concerns is this doorbell camera works until it doesn't and I want it to work consistently, which I do not think is too much to ask...

It seems that Google Nest's 2nd gen battery doorbells and cameras don't do well at waking up to detect events when they are running on battery power; when running on battery power they are in "Idle" mode. We've had a 2nd gen battery camera since Sept. 2021, plugged in with the optional power cable. It's "Live" and recording all the time. But if we unplug it, so that it is running on battery power, it usually will not wake up to detect an event if we walk right in front of the camera.
