Nest Doorbell No chime sound inside house

Chime does not sound inside house when doorbell rings.  I did reset it with the tool twice, but it only rings once, then does not chime inside house any longer.

Is your Google Nest Hello Doorbell one or two years old? You might be encountering the same internal battery failure that hundreds of us have encountered. This failure causes the internal chime to not ring and causes the doorbell to go offline for a minute or so. A workaround is to turn off the internal chime and rely instead on visitor announcements sent to a Google Nest Hub or Mini. Google Nest still has no resolution. See this thread in this forum:

Hi there,

 

Thanks for reaching out and we’re sorry to hear about what happened to your doorbell. Let’s get this sorted out. Could you tell us which type of doorbell you have, wired or wireless? Also what type of chime are you using?

 

If you are using an electric chime, you can try changing the chime duration. You can also toggle the Indoor chime off/on. For detailed steps, you can check this article when your Nest doorbell chime doesn't ring or sounds weak.
