Nest Doorbell Peeling

My nest doorbell peeled recently and looks horrible. I purchased this product as I chose google products to make my home a “smart home” despite the obviously higher price than their competitors. I wrongly assumed that the high cost meant better quality products. This doorbell has not only missed very important occurrences outside my home but is now peeling and looks terrible. It is out of warranty and I am not the only person to experience this issue. I live in MI but the doorbell is protected by an overhang from direct sunlight and snow/rain/wind etc. stand behind your product google. I trusted you.
