Nest Doorbell Warranty Replacement

SteveKing

First of all, I had to select "Nest Doorbell (battery)", as there was not a "Nest Doorbell (wired)" option available to choose from.

I am inquiring about my "Nest Doorbell (wired)"

How do I submit a warranty claim on this item.  I purchased it in December 2019 so therefore it falls under the two year warranty.

The doorbell quit working and when I checked it, the doorbell unit was extremely hot to the touch.  I reset the doorbell (using the small pin reset button).  Doorbell still did not work.  Stayed hot.  I then disconnected the doorbell wires from the unit, let it rest  for 4-5 hours and reconnected.  Still not working and become hot again.

I have searched your websit to file a warranty claim but I keep running into deadends.  PLEASE help me or guide me to a simple method to file a claim.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi SteveKing,

The fastest way to get that warranty help would be to open the Nest app/Down arrow top left/Orange Support button/Contact us. That would get you a phone or chat option. They may want to run some troubleshooting with you.

I will check on that Nest Wired tag missing as well.

I go to the Nest app (home.nest.com) and there is no Down arrow top left (I am on a laptop with Google Chrome)

Everything keeps taking me back to the Community Forum page.

I had the exact same symptoms on my Nest doorbell cam (wired). It was exceptionally hot to the touch where touching it for more than a couple seconds started to burn your hand. Did you have any luck resolving your issue?

Hi Micsharpe,

Oh no! Please discontinue using your Nest Hello Doorbell if it's hot to touch as it may cause harm to you. Please fill out this form so we could further look into this.
