Nest Doorbell (battery) - New Build house - what are the actual power and wiring requirements?

Purchased a Nest Doorbell (battery) that I intend to hardwire power to from a transformer. New build house, so no existing wiring at all, not intending to fit a chime as I'll have notifications come through to the phone and the nest hub and hopefully over SONOS speakers.

Going through all the documentation supplied with the doorbell and online, I can't actually find a specification for what is required to power this. My qualified electrician has 2 questions he would like to know the answer to until he's happy to fit it. When he went through installation, there was mention in the setup that a resistor would be required for a wired install without a chime. But clicking on the learn more link there were no actual details of what size resistor. He's not happy to fit it without proper specs. It sems daft that my electrician doesn't have enough info to fit this, how on earth is anyone else doing it?

He would like to know the following, if someone official from Google could please supply and answer or I'll be looking to return and source a different Smart doorbell.

1. What is the ideal power supply voltage? I appreciate it may work with a variety but he wants to make sure it's getting the ideal amount.
2. What size resistor is required, and is it to be wired across the supply terminals, or to just one of the supply lines. If so, then which?

Thanks for the link, but unfortunately doesn't help as it doesn't mention the resistor value required when not using a chime.

I'd clocked the broad range of power requirements already but was after the ideal (I'm guessing in the middle of the range?

I've looked everywhere and can't find any mention of value for the resistor.

Is there no-one from Google who can answer this? Particularly the resistor value part! It must be written down somewhere, surely you can;t just bang in any old resistor?
