Nest Doorbell not working after initial set up

I have a Google Nest Doorbell, 2nd generation, battery operated. Whenever I set it up and connect to the WiFi, it will show the green light under the camera but record in night mode. The white circle around the actual doorbell button doesn’t come on and it eventually shuts itself. It says it is because it is not mounted, but even when it is initially set up, the white circle for the doorbell button doesn’t come on. I have restarted and reset several times over the last few days with no luck and am not sure what else to try.

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I'm sorry, your Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) is not working after the initial setup. I appreciate your efforts in trying to get it working by restarting it several times. To gather some more details, I'd like to ask the following questions:

1. Are you able to see the live video feed of your Google Nest Doorbell?
2. Which operating system phone are you using? Is it Android or iOS?
3. Is the green light solid or pulsing?
4. Is your Google Nest Doorbell normally charging?
 If possible, please share a screenshot of the "Device not mounted" message.
