Nest Doorbell wired 1st gen

Hi, 

So we have a 1st gen wired doorbell that worked great for months. Now all of a sudden the camera is no longer detecting any motion. I can stand in front of the camera, the blue ring lights up and flashes but there is no evidence of this in the activity history? 

Occasionally motion is detected for 1s but does not show anything.

I have factory reset, checked all settings and am at a total loss now.

Any help will be appreciated!!

Do you have a Nest Aware subscription? The free trial subscription expires after 30 days. Without a subscription, you get only still snapshots for events in the most recent 3 hours for 1st gen cameras and doorbells (and the Google Nest Hello Doorbell is 1st generation).

Hi, 

Thanks for your response, yes I have the nest aware subscription. The doorbell is picking up sound no problem and sending a notification but it seems it just can't detect any motion? One of the sound clips shows someone at the door but no motion event was recorded. All notifications are set for motion etc.
