Nest Doorbell (wired) echo issue

mekon
Community Member

when I start conversation with person, nest doorbel is starting very loud echo. absolutely unusable.
Some time ago, it was working normally (year or so), so evidently firmware change.
If you cant fix it, i want  full refund and go with other product.
Its basically removal of advertised function. And ignored resolution.

Hello mekon,

Thanks for posting in our Community. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the Nest doorbell. Let’s check it out.

Please follow the troubleshooting steps below:

  1. Disconnect any Bluetooth devices paired to your phone (if any), such as earbuds, smartwatches, etc.
  2. Check the Google Home or Nest app permissions: go to the phone’s Settings > Apps > Google Home or Nest > Permissions, and make sure Microphone is enabled.
  3. Test if you can now hear the other person on your phone.

Let me know how it goes.

You can check out this handy guide on how to talk and listen with a Nest camera or doorbell.

I appreciate your help, MplsCustomer and Emerson.

Best,

Lance

Hello,
no problem is not resolved by that.
The re is still echo, product is unusable.

I am sure before some updates it was fine, can I force some older verson of firmware?
