Nest Doorbell

I just replaced my nest doorbell with a new one, I can see the video feed in the google home app but not the nest app.

The new Google Nest cameras and doorbells released starting in Sept. 2021 work only in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app.

Sad, the functionality was much better in the Nest App.

Hey Bikemike55,

As RXShorty said, the eventual situation will be to have the Home app manage everything in the home when it comes to connected and smart devices. We haven't reached feature parity yet, but that's what is the ultimate goal. I definitely understand missing the functionality of the Nest app in the meantime, however.

Hi @Bikemike55 

All the newer Nest Hardware only works with Google Home. Google is moving most of the things to the Google Home app. Eventually the Nest app wil be going away. 🙂
