My floodlight battery cam is wired to my home power. Why does the battery stay around 60percent even when the light switch stays on? It should not be using the battery at all the camera I just purchased a month ago November. If the switch is off it drains extremely fast. is this a defect? Any suggestions. Thanks

Other customers are also reporting problems with the battery on the floodlight camera; see this long thread (with no resolution):

I spent 75+ minutes with Google Support yesterday reporting this very issue. Their only solution was to send me a charging cable for a wired camera. I plan to wait for the cable, charge it once, and then demand a refund or replacement. This is a known problem in this forum and Google seems wholly uninterested in fixing it.

I cant speak for anyone but me, but what I need is a working Nest Cam + Floodlight. So far in reporting the issue Google has shown zero care, zero interest in making it right, and only offered more roadblocks or solutions that we all know arent solutions. It’s not fun or comical.
