My Nest Hello developed blistering and peeling after 3 years despite being well protected from sunlight and weather.
Seems this is a common problem, and unfortunately one that led to a costly effort to replace it with the same model. The replacement failed after 4 months and has been unable to connect to Nest app or Google Home despite hours of assistance from tech support. It's damaged goods, and Google refused to honor the 1 year warranty because it was purchased it from Amazon.
Now ask me what I think about Google Home and Nest product integration...
