I have contacted google support, my nest doorbell is out of warranty, they know about the defect with their doorbells and they refuse to replace mine. Has anyone got theirs replaced outside of their warranty? I am worried my 2 year old is going to cut her finger on the glass, but google does not share the same concern.

Was there any follow-up to this?  I have the same exact issue.  Nest Doorbell is cracking and peeling and out of warranty.

My Nest Hello is just over a year old and cover is starting to peel. I have one at front door and one at side door. So what do I do buy a NEW Nest Hello Every Year? Not only do I have two Nest Hello`s I have nest hub Max one outside and one indoor camera plus nest Thermostat. Love Nest Products but not to crazy about ordering another Hello. If I do is there something I can us to protect cover?

I have a Nest Hello Doorbell that has cracks in the glass around where you press the doorbell button. I have read many threads about this and it appears to be a common problem. The only thing that does not seem to make sense to me is that my doorbell is never exposed to sunlight. I have a covered porch and even with sunset / sun-rise, the sun never directly hits the unit, yet the glass has started cracking around the button leaving very jagged edges which many delivery drivers, as well as neighbor kids have said they have cut their finger on. I would like to get a replacement unit, but my doorbell was purchased in 2018. Is this covered under the manufacturer warranty?
