I just installed my Wired Nest Hello to a working Mechanical door bell system. I can't get the mechanical chime to work when the chime connector is installed. When I remove the chime connector from the mechanical chime the chime works well. It's like the chime connector is bad and not allowing the small voltage to pass through to enable charging of the Nest Hello internal battery. I don't know what to do from here. Please advise.

I'm just another Google Nest customer with Google Nest Hello Doorbells. The Chime Connector provides continuous power to the camera in the Nest Hello doorbell without triggering your indoor chime. It could be faulty. Check that it's wired correctly (as in the diagram in this post: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Cameras-and-Doorbells/Video-doorbell-wiring/m-p/117681) and that your transformer meets Google Nest's requirements (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9247132?hl=en).
Also, some of us had to turn on "Chime duration" (intended for electronic chimes) and then turn it off again to get our indoor chime to work.
