I have the same issue here. I have tried with different devices, multiple resets for both phone and doorbell, checked the wires and so on. nothing...

I believe the Google Nest doorbell model NC5100GB is the Google Nest Hello Doorbell, which is no longer sold. If you are re-installing your Nest Hello Doorbell after it was previously installed in the Google Nest app, did you first remove the doorbell from the Google Nest app while it was still on the same Nest or Google Account and the same Wi-Fi network where it was previously installed?
Did you then do a factory reset by pressing the reset button AND the large doorbell button for at least 10 seconds while the doorbell was still wired to the doorbell wires, until the doorbell chimed and its light ring starting spinning blue, then flashed yellow, and then all the lights turned off?
If this is a brand-new Google Nest Hello Doorbell that has been sitting on a retailer's shelf or somewhere for a year or more, perhaps (this is just a guess) the version of the firmware loaded on the doorbell is out of sync with the current version of the Google Nest app.

Thank you for your suggestions. It is supposed to be a refurbished one purchased through Amazon. I dont know about it being removed from the previous account or anything of its history. I have done the reset as per your recommendation but without success. I will give the nest support a try.
