Nest Hello peeling front cover

Hey Support,

the plastic front cover of my nest Doorbell looks really shabby, the plastic around the doorbell button is heavily dissolving so far that even one of my kids asked me if it can cut itself on it... The doorbell itself is amazing but that really is an ugly sight right next to my front door. 😞 

How can I replace/repair it?

Sigh. There are now 370 threads on "peeling" Nest Hello doorbells in this forum, but Google Nest does not consider it a design defect and says they "cannot" replace the doorbell if it's past the 1-year warranty. We bought a silicone skin on Amazon to cover the shards on our 2-year-old peeling Nest Hello doorbell.
