Nest Hello peeling

I just noticed that my Nest Hello is peeling like many others, but support under case 4-8398000032678 refused to replace it out of warranty despite my pleas. Is this truly the case? Can anything else be done? 

I recently moved and am in need of two additional flood light cams, but will not make a decision until this is solved. I'd love to stay with Google/Nest, but this level of support with a product design defect is concerning. 

Ive seen others had their nests replaced out of warranty, how do I do the same.

I definitely understand how frustrating your situation must be, and I wanted to make sure that your concern was acknowledged. I am sorry to hear that your device is out of warranty! I am afraid there truly is nothing more that can be done as a replacement cannot be processed if the device is out of warranty. You are welcome to purchase a new device if you wish. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Hi Mwlyon,  Many people on this user forum have complained about the same issue.  Google was replacing them about a year ago (mid 2021) but they stopped as they all ran out of warranty.  

Also,  I would send you a big caution on getting the nest Flood light cams.  They do no work with the NEST app. Instead they only work with the Google Home app and there are MANY MANY MANY limitations.

@SteveT1 - I appreciate the response, but ultimately instead of buying two flood light cams to add to my Nest Hello, I'm looking at switching to Ring or Eufy. It seems ridiculous and customer unfriendly to me that so many were having their Nest Hellos replaced out of warranty due to peeling, but that has suddenly stopped.
