We had a 3.5 hour power outage this morning and my Nest Hello Wired Doorbell (1st gen) never powered back on. I popped the doorbell from the mount and confirmed with a multimeter that the wires are providing 18V of power, but no green light above the camera lens. I assume it is dead and I have to purchase a replacement, or is there something else I can try?

Actually, I was able to get the Nest Hello Wired Doorbell back in working condition today by not doing a full factory reset, but instead I removed it from the mount and holding in the reset button with the release tool for 10 seconds; then the status light started blinking green and once the restart completed it was back online. Before that the status light was not on at all. Anyway, it seems fixed, for now.

This happened to one of our Nest Hellos after a power outage, but we were able to resolve it just by powering off the doorbell by briefly turning off the circuit that includes the doorbell.

I already tried that at the circuit breaker panel, and also confirmed that the wires connected to the back of the Nest Hello is providing 18V.

I can imagine it has been an inconvenience, and I would love to look into this further for you. You can try to factory reset it and let me know how it goes.
Best regards,
Brad
